With the 2018 USCAA Fall Championships kicking off in Virginia Beach, the Florida National University Conquistadors are being represented by two teams, each with a unique story to tell.
The Men’s Soccer team is coming off a deep tournament run that was capitalized by the first national championship in school history. After basking in that glory, the focus is on finding a way to repeat the successes of last year’s squad. But this is a new team with new challenges. Basking in the shadows of the past won’t get the job done. Having earned the first seed in this year’s dance, it’s championship or bust for the Conquistadors.
The Woman’s Volleyball team’s story reads differently. After phenomenal regular seasons and high tournament seedings, the Lady Conquistadors haven’t been able to put the pieces together to complete the puzzle. But the ladies are ready to rewrite their history with a new story, one that ends with the championship trophy back home in Hialeah. Being awarded the fourth seed in the tournament, the girls are locked in on proving the naysayers wrong.
The journey begins on Thursday, November 8th.
