HIALEAH, Fla. (April 15, 2024) – Florida National University’s Jordan Lewis, brought home his second Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Baseball Hitter of the Week award this season following a masterful performance in Sumter, South Carolina, last week.
In FNU’s three win series versus the CAC’s Morris College, Lewis recorded 14 RBIs, 10 hits and 10 runs through four starts. With a .588 hitting average, he also blasted three homers and used his speed for six stolen bases.
“Lewis, the Hitter of the Week, delivered a solid hitting performance in the Conquistadors’ four-game series against fellow conference member Morris College (South Carolina),” said the CAC’s release. “ The outfielder batted .588, drove in 14 runs, scored 10 runs, and collected 10 hits.”
“Lewis tallied three hits in each of the last three games of the series. He went 3-for-4, scored three runs, hit one home run, and had nine runs batted in during a 24-0 victory in the opener of Saturday’s doubleheader.”
Florida National is back on the diamond April 19 for the CAC Showdown in Lawrenceville, Ga.
