On Friday, March 15, 2013, Florida National University’s (FNU) Allied Health Division Head, Dr. Loreto Almonte, and Respiratory Therapy Program Director, Mr. Jose Lammoglia, attended a luncheon to raise awareness for Cerebral Palsy. The invitation to the luncheon was extended to FNU by Ms. Carol Montiel, RN, MS Director of Golden Glades Facility for Cerebral Palsy.
The “Chef’s Table” luncheon which was held in the kitchen of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in the Miami Convention Center was hosted by the United Cerebral Palsy of South Florida. Attendees were treated to a special five-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Michael Morris whose wife is greatly involved with the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
Also in attendance were Mr. Joseph A. Aniello, Ed. D., President and CEO of the United Cerebral Palsy of South Florida, and Ms. Lucia Nunez-Lanatta, Marketing Director of HCOA Management Service and LOA Franchise, LLC.
The United Cerebral Palsy of South Florida’s Golden Glades Facility is where FNU’s nursing students perform one of their practicum rotations. The United Cerebral Palsy of South Florida serves infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County.
