HIALEAH, Fla. (Dec. 11, 2023) – Florida National University’s sensational sophomore defender and Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Player of the Year Ricardo Delwing was named a 2023 Third Team All-American by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Estrela, Brazil, native was announced with the other first, second, and third team honorees on Dec. 11.
Delwing had a special season with the Conquistadors, posting five goals and an assist in 16 starts. The First-Team All-CAC member previously held the title of Newcomer of the Year in 2022 for the CAC.
“The NAIA All-America committee consists of the NAIA-Men’s Soccer Coaches Association Executive Committee, the National Championship Games Committee and four men’s soccer coaches,” said the NAIA’s release.
“Each of the All-America teams is comprised of a goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, three forwards, and one at-large position.”
