HIALEAH, FL – For the first time ever, Florida National University will be represented on a National Team by a soccer player. The Conquistador, George Perez, was named to the Puerto Rico National Team U-23 squad for the 2019 CONCACAF MEN’S OLYMPIC QUALIFYING.
The 20-member squad will head to the Dominican Republic, for the Concacaf Men’s Olympic Qualifying. The Puerto Rico U-23 team opens against Saint Lucia on Wednesday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m. before taking on Antigua & Barbuda on Thursday, July 18 at 4:30 p.m. Play concludes for PR Saturday, July 20 against the Dominican Republic. Game kickoff at 4:30 p.m.
FNU Men’s soccer player, sophomore George Perez won 2 straight National Championship in the last two seasons.
