Florida National Competes Against Defending National Champs on Wednesday

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (October 14, 2020) – The Florida National Conquistadors (0-4-0) took on the defending NAIA National Champion Keiser Seahawks (5-0-0) on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in a 7-0 win for KU.

In the team’s second game in just as many days, FNU looked to register the upset of the perennial power. However, KU proved to be too much for the Conquistadors, rattling off four goals late in the first half and never looking back.

Florida National goalkeeper Vanessa Osorio tallied seven saves in the match to increase her season total to 43 (10.7 saves per game). Osorio came into the match ranked No. 3 in the nation in saves per game and No. 18 in the nation in total saves.

FNU returns to the pitch on Wednesday, October 21, with a match at St. Thomas. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
