FNU Closes Out BSN Sports Dolphin Classic with a 122-92 Loss to Campbell

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (December 10, 2020) – The Florida National men’s basketball (2-11) closed out the BSN Sports Dolphin Classic with a 122-92 loss to the Campbell Fighting Camels (4-0) on Thursday afternoon.

The Conquistadors were led by Kenneth Santos and Jeffery Hernandez, who each tallied 20 points. Santos shot 7-of-16 from the floor, including 6-of-12 from 3-points range while leading the team in rebounding (8). Hernandez went 9-of-17 from the field in 37 minutes of action.

Also scoring in double-figures was Jose Benitez, who posted 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting.

FNU finished the game shooting 52.9 percent from the floor (36-of-68) and 41.4 percent from beyond the arc (12-of-29). Campbell shot a blistering 67.1 percent from the field (47-of-70), including a 16-of-29 clip from 3-point range (55.2 percent).

The Fighting Camels outrebounded the Conquistadors, 39-25, and held a 9-6 edge on the offensive glass.

FNU is scheduled to return to action next week, facing Bethel (Ind.) on Tuesday, Dec. 15.
