AVE MARIA, FL – The Florida National University women’s volleyball team put up a fight that ended with a 3-0 loss in a tough away game against Ave Maria University played on Tuesday, September 24th at Ave Maria, Florida.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Ave Maria jumped out to a 1-0 lead following a 25-15 first-set victory.
- The Gyrenes led the game in kills, taking set two, 25-18.
- The Conquistadors came back in the third set to win the game 25-17
- The Fourth set was tightly-contested, going-back-and-forth. However, Ave Maria edged FNU, 25-17 for the win 3-1.

- FNU record is now 8-7 on the season.
- FNU recorded its third away loss on the season.
