Lewis named CAC Hitter of the Week. (April 1, 2024)

HIALEAH, Fla. (April 1, 2024) – Florida National University’s Jordan Lewis is the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Hitter of the Week following the Conquistadors’ 3-1 road trip to close out the month of March.

Lewis helped FNU grab two critical conference wins in a doubleheader sweep over the Voorhees University Tigers on March 29. Along with the Conquistadors improving to 4-2 in CAC play this season, FNU now stands at 16-16 after splitting a noon doubleheader versus Paine College March 30. 

Lewis scored eight runs and posted five hits as the Conquistadors won three of their four games on a weekend road trip,” the CAC’s release said. “The outfielder batted .417 and posted a .667 slugging percentage for the week.”

“The Toronto, Canada, native scored four runs in a 9-6 win at Voorhees University (South Carolina) last Friday. He then tallied two hits in a 6-3 victory against Paine College (Georgia) one day later.”

FNU is back on the diamond April 5 on the road versus the University of Fort Lauderdale. Game time is set for noon out of Davis Field at Northeast High School.
