VIERA, Fla. (March 12, 2023) – Florida National University’s softball team suffered a setback against the Indiana Tech Warriors in the Conquistadors’ second-to-last game in Viera, Fla. FNU bounced back in a big way with a 12-1 win over William Penn. FNU ended the weekend 5-1 over its three-day stay to improve to 14-8 in 2023.
Florida National did a solid job in the early goings of game one, allowing no hits over the first two innings. FNU’s Yleisha Perez and Jordan Bohn recorded a single apiece through the first two but were unable to hang runs on the board. The Warriors blew the game open in the third, racking up five runs and three hits before retiring the side.
FNU was unable to keep the Warriors off the board, as they hung up three more runs down the stretch as FNU connected on just one hit, this time from Ana De Oliveira Obando, toward the end of the contest.
